Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has healing, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It can be used to take off makeup, soothe your skin and give you a dewy-looking health glow. To apply, try massaging a small amount of coconut oil onto your face and let it soak in for a couple of minutes before washing off. Creating a facemask with coconut oil that can help make your skin glow is easy.

Ingredients:

  • Coconut oil
  • green tea leaves
  • lemon juice

To create the mask, get 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of green tea leaves and 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and mix them all together. Apply the mixture to your face and leave for 5 to 10 minutes and then wash off.

 Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has healing properties and stimulates new cell growth. The plant can be grown anywhere. All you need to do is scrape out the gel from the leaf, mash it and massage it into the skin. Let it soak for 10 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. You can also combine Aloe Vera gel with some lemon juice and apply it on the skin as a face mask.

Turmeric

Turmeric is one of the best home remedies to get glowing skin. Turmeric is a spice that is very rich in antioxidants and can be used as an excellent exfoliator. You can make a face mask using turmeric to make your skin glowy.

 Ingredients:

  • Turmeric
  • Flour
  • milk or yogurt
  • honey

To make the face mask all you need to do is mix up one teaspoon of turmeric, 2 tablespoons of flour, 3 tablespoons milk or yoghurt and a few drops of honey. Apply the mixture to your face and leave on for about 20 minutes and then rinse. It is advised that afterwards you apply a good moisturiser.

Olive Oil

You might already have this ingredient in your home as olive oil is notoriously known for its use in cooking, but it also has great skincare benefits and can create glowing skin. It can be applied to the whole body not just the face. The oil matches with the natural oils of the skin and makes it glow naturally. You can apply it directly to your body or face and massage it in. If possible leave it for around 30 minutes before washing it off with warm water.

Figs

Raw figs may be used to create a nourishing, antioxidant-rich face mask as they are a good source of many enriching vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals and are known to make you skin glow.

Get two figs and mash them up and add a little bit of milk. Gentle rub the mixture onto your face for a couple of minutes. Wash off with water and pat dry. This remedy will help remove all the toxins on your skin and help it glow better.

Honey

Honey an excellent natural remedy for skin. Take one teaspoon of honey and massage it onto your skin. Leave it for 10 minutes and then wash. Another way to use honey to get glowing skin is by creating a facemask using honey and besan. Besan works with the honey to help remove dead cells and grease, which creates glowing, radiant skin.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons Besan
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • Water

Mix the Besan and honey. You want to create a soft and consistent paste so add water where needed to achieve this. Apply this to the face and leave for around 30 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.
